Hello All,

After been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder for 20+ years, my new doctor sees all the signs of ADD and few to none of bi-polar. After reading hours of information and your forums, there is no question that ADD is me all the way. So I start my new ADD meds--Concerta 27mg per day...and actually am quite excited.

So far no difference with Concerta....however I realize it's early and I have to be patient (ok).

Anyone else that has been on the completely wrong meds and missed out on a better - more efficient life?

I thought I was depressed and had taken allot of anti depressants that didn’t work at all. After having to withdrawing from 2 semesters of college, I started suspected ADD, I asked my dad and he told me I was diagnosed with inattentive ADD at age 7. I am 22 now.

In a way, you are still ahead o fthe game. I went my entire life undiagnosed.
I think these things are not so easily dignosed sometimes, The fat that so many things can present symptoms like adhd it is not altogether surprising that people get misdiagnosed sometimes.
