No, really, another switch in insurance providers leads me to yet another different generic IR amphetamine salt! Hurray! So, here I am, so far, the switch from Barr generics to Ranbaxy generics was wonderful, as the Barrs seemed to have given me some trouble digesting and passed incompletely digeseted, not fully absorbing (unless I chewed them up, which made them hit too fast and not last long enough). The Ranbaxy gen seemed to do the trick if not being quite as strong anyhow. So now I get my mailed script of Eon Labs pills (oddly looking JUST like the Ranbaxy, just a different color, so hopefully they are exactly the same). Any thoughts on these two as far as digestion is concerned? I'm actually thinking about having the dose lowered and chewing them up and dosing more often if need be. I wish that the XR delivery system worked for me, but so far when I tried it in the past I've had such great response times from working for 3 hours, to working for 8 hours, to passed undigested. Stupid digestive tract! Thanks in advance!

I noticed the difference between the two generic brands, also, but in a different way.

The Barr brand tablet started to dissolve, in my mouth, while I was attempting to swallow it, while the Ranbaxy brand, doesn't do that.

I don't chew the tabs though.

I've had no problems with the Barr-brand generics. Their initial effect is significantly faster than Adderall XR and seems to last a good while, with no noticable "crash" at the end. It seems about dose-equivalent with the effects of Adderall XR, from what little I can tell. Actually, they're the best ADHD medication I've taken to date, to be honest.
