My husband and I recently started Adderall, prescribed by the same doctor, but we had them filled at different pharmacies. My husband received Adderall XR 20mg capsule but I received a generic pink pill that I think is the IR formulation. If I was prescribed Adderall XR can the pharmacy substitute the IR instead. From everything I have read they are very different.

If the script said XR then you should have gotten XR. Call the pharmacy. They must have made a mistake.
