How does the timing work for Strattera capsules?

I know dexedrine capsules release two doses 4 hours apart, with the last one tapering off 6 hours after release for a total of 10 hours of coverage...can't find info on Strattera yet though

You can't start and stop taking strattera and expect it to work in the same way a stimulant does (no holidays!). I don't know about how many releases there are -- maybe just one? It has to build up in your system before you notice effects, and it takes time for the effects to go away once you stop taking it. I have found that it works all day long, from the time I get up until I fall asleep. I take a smaller dose of it 2x/day, at breakfast and at dinner, and I never feel anything like a "comedown" that's common to XR and IR stimulants.

I found that it took about 3 months to build up in my system where I could actually see the difference in myself. I am currently on 100 mg and I take that in the morning. It has really worked well at "smoothing" my days out. I do feel that I can focus much better than before. No, it's not that "miracle" drug I was expecting to change everything. The best way I can describe it is that it just seems to make the days easier to get through. I'm not sure if I'm making any sense at all! :eyebrow:

How much do you weigh? How long did it take you to ramp up the dosage to 100mg?

My son just changed his dosage from 120 mg. at night to 80 mg in the morning and 40 mg. in afternoon. Change was to try to prolong the positive effect he was having in the morning. Great focus, then loses it in the afternoon when homework needs to be done. Does anyone have any experience with going from one dosage in evening to split dosage during the day?
