I had recently started taking Strattera and it was working great on my symptoms but after a while I started getting so sick on it I was throwing up all the time. I have stopped taking it all together. I am having surgery next week on my knee so my doctor and I have decided to wait until after the surgery to start me on anything new. I was just wondering if anyone had this same affect with Strattera and what they switched to. I really just want something to calm my brain down so I can think straight. It seems my symptoms are worse not that I've stopped taking the meds. Any advice is welcomed. Thank you!!:)

You know, I'd forgotten about the nausea on Strattera until I read your post. It didn't show up right away, but became a consistent problem once I hit 54mg. Before that it had been headaches, light and noise sensitivity, bouts of depression, and so on. That one did not work for me one bit. Didn't even do much for my symptoms.
I switched to Concerta, but that didn't help much with focus and made me moody and anxious. I was frustrated about the problems with both of those meds and gave up for a while, but then tried again and started on Adderall. So far it's great - the only problems are a little speedy feeling sometimes (and I do get confused a bit when I'm under stress, but that's probably pretty normal), and the fact that it's the IR version so I have to plan the timing of meds and meals pretty carefully. I'm supposed to switch to XR at the end of the month, so the last problem will be less of an issue. Maybe the first one too, since I'll be going from a generic to a brand name and I've heard there are differences.
