I think strattera would keep you up all night, Im new to these forums but from what I have read, thats what would happen. Im not sure how strattera works but I would check with your doctor to be sure.

My doc told me it's fine to take Strattera at night and I did. In the beginning the meds made me so tired it was the only thing I could do. I took the whole dose at night and at first I used to wake up over and over at night. It put me to sleep, then I'd wake up almost every hour. I'd get back to sleep though, so it wasn't so horrible. That lasted about three nights and then I could sleep through the night. Overall it was worth it because in the end I'd be refreshed in the morning and not have any grogginess problems. I really recommend it to get through the early stages while the side effects are strong.

Now that I don't feel the side effects anymore I take it half and half, AM and PM. I've had some issues with the good effects not being as strong and I'm playing with the timing to see if it makes a difference. So far I don't think it matters-- you're looking for a long term, steady state of it in your body. Some people will argue that most of the studies were done with twice a day dosing so that's the most effective way and the once-a-day dosing is just a marketing ploy to make the drug more attractive to people.

While you're tired and groggy, you're not getting much out of the experience anyway. I'd take it at night for a while if I were you.

I'm taking 100mg now. The maximum dose. I've only been taking that for two days. I had been on 80mg for over a month (plus one week at 40mg). My system seems to burn through Strattera like crazy. I'm 5'6" and 130lbs but I think it has more to do with how your liver works than anything.
