Any connection?
I've found it impossible to stay awake a second past 14 hours of taking a 40mg dose.
Also I've found that Strattera causes me to REALLY need sleep. Anyone have difficulties involving Strattera and their requirement for sleep?

I experienced pretty serious sleepiness during the first days, but after a while it goes away. I couldn't tell you how much it would take, exactly, since I'd been increasing my dose every 3 days or so.
For how much have you been taking it? At what dosage?

I get sleepy at intervals. It comes and it goes it seems, it does seem to be getting a bit better though. I am on my fourth day.

Nearly all of my sleepiness disappeared when I finally stopped going up in dose level!
We messed around with my dose level for about 3 months! After we got my dose level correct, a month later I finally stopped feeling sleepy.
Interestingly, I had the opposite reaction than what you all had. I always felt the most sleepy about an hour after I first took Strattera. Then at about 3-4 hours after taking my dose, my sleepiness would lift and I would feel fine from then on.
However, it bothered me enough when I was climbing up in dose level that I would often split my dose and take 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the late afternoon, or I would take it all just before going to bed. These where things that my doctor suggested that I try. Now days, I don't have the sleepiness issues anymore, so I take it all when I get up!
Anyway, best of luck with Strattera! I've been pretty happy with the results I have gotten from taking it! :)
Peace! :)

My sleepiness went away after about a month, about the same time I started to see some effects from the medication. I am now on 100 mg which I take once a day.
I've also seen great benefits from the medication and I wish you the best of luck.
