I just went on Dexedrine.

I use to be on it back in around Grade 6-9, but I stopped for reasons I don't remember (We moved around, that probbably has to do with it.)

I've always been quiet at school (but I would get into trouble at school for other things). And loud and hyper at home.

Now I'm finding my self more "hyper" at school (College.) It's not that it's out of control, it's just that I can't sit still doing nothing. If I'm working on something it's no problem, but I just can't sit back and relax.

Is this normal?

Sometimes stimulants can excerbate an underlying anxiety disorder. A person can end up fidgety, with motor tics, and ocd-like behaviors, etc.... I think it is more of an issue for the hyperactive subtype of ADHD than the inattentive subtype (don't hold me to it).

Very odd. You might want to get a second opinion and/or try Wellbutrin or stratera instread. You didn't say what dose your on but you may just need an ajestment either up or down. Talk to your doctor.

Stimulants can also trigger mania or hypomania in bipolar patients. That would create an inability to sit still and irritability.
