I have been having trouble with distractions. I'm might be failing Math because of the distractions. And I'm grounded until report cards come out wich isn't very far away. What can help me focus a little better during work time in class?:confused:

I feel your pain on that one. I've gotten grounded a few times for report cards too.

Are you on any meds? For some people, it works (although I don't believe it does for myself). Do you see a counslor? S/he could offer solutions to help you stay focused. I also find that listening to my iPod helps me concentrate on homework. I just don't put it on my hard rock music :D

I second Sarah's question: are you on meds?

I'm on Adderall and that's the only thing that has been able to help me focus. I wish I could tell you different.

Have you spoken to your teachers? and ditto..are you on meds? that's all that helps me too I am afraid..

the only other thing that helps me a bit is taking short breaks every 1/2 hour or so, but I'm sure that would be difficult to do in school unless you have it written in your accomodations.

i used to have to come in to collage .............3hours elaery to keep up when only the clsers were in i asked pereeoon ofve them cos i know them that was only way i could passs maybe this will help cos i had no help even though o beged for it dorm ps good luck

I agree iPods really do help, they take away other distractions because your just listening to the music. The only problem is will the teacher let you use your iPod in class?

LOL... some places used to, until people began using them to cheat on tests, quizzes etc.

But hey wouldn't that be great if it could really happen eh?
