This is kind of a wierd question, but here goes.....

Does anyone else ever feel any actual physical sensations in their head when dealing with an ADD/ ADHD challenge? Or associate their ADD with specific locations in their head / brain?

I will actually get minor sensations of pain in a particular spot on my head when I try to work with numbers in my head. Another feeling not of pain, but almost a fuzzy, thick, slightly cold sensation in a very specific spot inside my head when I'm trying to make decisions and the thoughts are getting congested. I noticed these sensations long before I realized I was dealing with ADD.

Anyone else have similar sensations?

I've noticed that I can't process things very well when I"m overloaded. It is as though part of my higher functioning shuts off. Usually byt that point, I'm so non-operational that I get stressed if I am trying to focus on anything. I don't feel any pain, no funny sensations whatsoever.... I just feel overloaded.

I have the overloaded feeling too.... but I get the actual 'math cramp' about 2" back from my hairline just left of center of the top of my head, feels not too deep into my brain. Weird. I can't locate the second one unless I'm actually feeling it, but it seems a little forward & farther inside.

Yeah I feel these types of sensations too, just wierd feelings, only slight but noticable.

One thing though at one point I took Nortriptyline (Pamlor) for ADHD on the Doctors advice and found that I felt incredibly light in the frontal part of my brain. Mentioned it to the Doctor but he'd never heard that description before.

When I'm feeling very ADD-ish, I feel as if the top of my head from about an inch above my ears, circling around in a 6 inch circle is stuffed with cotton batting.

The back half of my head is where the cotton balls reside. It's always a bit foggy back there but when I'm really ADD, I don't think even air could make it through. Sometimes I have uncontrollable thoughts at the front of my brain..like when I'm trying to read but I can't get the image of a bouncing beach ball out of my head...that's where it is.
