Anyone take such a regiment? What such drugs are ever prescribed alongside Dexedrine?
I somehow strongly feel such a regiment would work for me. Relieve nervousness/anxiety and such

I take a drug that functions as an anti-depressant in many cases called Lamictal and it works well at the lowest dose for me as far as the symptoms go. Most people respond excellent to additions to stimulant drugs with SSRI's and such

Interesting.
So what led you to the prescription of an antidepressant, was there a specific problem? For me it's that now that I've tried Strattera and felt human emotion for the first time in my life, I find my lack of it a severe shortcoming.
Do you find antidepressants make you "feel" feelings at all?

I've heard that stimulants can be used as a 2nd or 3rd line medication for depression. SSRI's are usually the first route to go because it is considered the safest med to take. If one SSRI doesn't work, another might or you could switch to a Trycyclic Antidepressant or MAOI's. I don't know the so called 'usual' or 'normal' dose that is taken for depression with dexadrine but everyone is different. Give it a try with the dexadrine and see what happens. Should your depression get worse that means you probably need to add or change to an antidepressant. Good Luck...

I actually just started
Strattera 40mg x 1
Dexedrine 10mg x 2
which seems to be doing the trick so far!
Thanks kindly for the information

No the issue that I had with antidepressant medications including Strattera was what the DSM calls "Substance induced mood disorder with Manic Features". Which gives me well a bit more than feelings needless to say. Lamictal is an anticonvulsant that is useful in bipolar depression. Stimulants and Antidepressants of the SSRI class specifically are Contradicted in the treatment of bipolar disorder because they can induce a manic episode. Although I was depressed due to extreme forms of trauma (which is natural... especially at age 8) I was depressed and rotated through the SSRI's simulating bipolar disorder. I also find that 90 mg of dexedrine is what calms me per day.

I disagree with SSRI's unless you have serious depression. Wellbutrin is an interesting beast and goes very well with most stimulants (it's a mild stim itself). Stratera is also worth a try althrough people either love it or hate it. Just a warning; the ones who hate it REALLY, REALLY HATE IT.
Also anxiety is NOT DEPRESSION. Wellbutrin is sometimes not a good idea for those with anxiety BUT since you have ADD you will likely not respond badly but keep this in mind. Klonopin is a great choice for anxiety but it's best to take it "as needed" rather than all the time. It can be physicaly addictive but it's generaly very low compared to other benzos such as Xanax and Valium. Also your doctor is more likely to perscribe it than those. It also has very, very low side effects and is very, very safe.
