This slide is part of a slideshow on how people escalate to "panic".

The basic idea is that people cannot "name" or identify their feelings, until they pile up (like a multi-car accident) and become overwhelming --> Panic Attack occurs.

It can be based on Alexithymia as a contributing factor. Alexithymia is an inability to "name feelings" as they occur, in the moment.

It is considered to be a deficit in Emotional Cognition. http://www.alexithymia.info/

IDEA: Sometimes things are so overwhelming in the moment, that we do not have the luxury to sit around "naming our feelings".
