i specifically asked for ETHEX generic spansuls not barr spansuls, why would the pharmacy try to screw me out of ethex XR pills?

is it because etehx doesnt make XR (spansuls) and since my bottle doesnt say substituted for... it jsut says dextroamphet sa does that mean its brand name? who makes XR dexedrine 15 mgs i take 3 and taking barr im not to happy about but i will try it since i cannot get more meds... stupid DEA crap...

I don't know about the DEA side of things I pay the extra copay to get the GlaxoSmithKline version of the Dexedrine Spansule because I lost 15 pounds in a week from running to the toilet from the Barr Brand "Dex-Lax" as I have named it

The script can be either brand or generic. You can't specify a specfic brand of generic as far as I know. If you have decent insurance or want to pay the differance or out of pocket have your doctor write "dispence as writen" and they cannot sub a generic. Personaly I always ask and confirm generic brands and go elsewhere if you can't confirm. You can even ask to see the bottle before they even get your script. You may get dirty looks but remember you are the customer and they are to serve you. Sometimes they can't even tell you the brand... if they can't again go somewhere that can. Try the smaller independant phamacies as they tend to be better. Always ask to speak to the phamacist as most of the larger chains have techs that can't answer your questions as they can't even touch DEA/schudualed meds.

The pharmacy will give you what they have in stock JNH. If they don't have enough Barr then ya just sorta get what ya get, ya know? Hey I have already bought the pharmacy out on Ritalin and had to go back the next week for 44 more tablets!

Why bother with the spansules if you're taking it every 4 hours anyway?

Well I know that If you give me adderall I need 120 mg of it in the least and only need from 45-90 of dexedrine per day (been taking dex for 20 years minus the concerta and adderall and focalin trials and the 6 months on desoxyn gradumet as a teen) and in the vencular I am a good dexedrine responder so for some dex works the best and 3 times a day for the best is better than "Adderall Rage" or the infamous "ritalin snap your teeth out" approach or the laxative feeling from the barr brand... to the couple who made the smartA** comments about the xr thing. What works best for people is different and for these once daily dreamers don't worry there is a 16 hour adderall coming out soon till then zip it...

well yo might be shocked to know the barr spansuls are not as bad as the IR there accually just fine for me i am really supprised as i handled the IR barr terribly, but another thing is all the up's and downs through out the day, with 3 XR tablets its ALOT smoother and ALOT more efficient and i did have insomnia the first day i took the 4 PM dose but after that it was just fine i accually recommend this type of dosing to people ((3) 15 XR throughout the day) but apparently ethex doesnt make XR thats why i cannot get it. but so far im happy
