View Full Version : Who writes the better book? ADDer or ADD coach?

Although I don't claim to be a great expert in books about ADD, it seems that a number of these books are written by people who have worked with ADDers but not necessarily ADDers themselves. So far the only book I've read that's written by another ADDer is Dr. Howell (sp?) and I perfer his book ten times over the others I've read.

I don't want to sound ungrateful or unappreciative, nor would I suggest that one needs to have the disease in order to advise others about how to manage their ADD. They all have very good useful, ADD friendly tips. I just find the "coaches" seem to jam pack their books with information and of course, focus a great deal of time on managing ADD as if it were a time management issue...

*sigh* I probably shouldn't write these posts when I haven't taken my meds properly! :o

I'm curious about which books and which authors you are refering to.
