My husband has often said that he doesn't think he has ADHD in any shape or form. I've gotten to where I just nod my head and humor him when the subject comes up. However, all three of our kids that are old enough to be tested have various forms of ADHD.:soapbox:

Saturday evening we're sitting and watching TV without the kids and he looks at me and tells me he accidently took my daughter's dose of Concerta that morning. He was getting ready to take it to her and I asked him a question and he took it thinking it was his blood pressure meds.

First of all you need to know that her dose is 108 mg --an elephant dose!

He didn't want me to worry so he thought he'd wait and se how he felt before he said anything. He said he didn't feel any different, except that when he thought back he realized he didn't eat that much for lunch.

I started questioning him about all the side affects that people have with meths if they aren't ADHD...skin/hair crawling, extra talkative, hyper..ect and he didn't have any of that. Well, I didn't believe him, so I asked his brother who he was working with that day...and no difference.:eyebrow:

I think it's convinced him that perhaps he could use the meds and to go get tested... He said he felt better than he has in a while:p

While this is not the best way to convince someone...It's definitely worked for him.:D

Anyone else accidently take their childrens meds??

I accidently took the wrongs meds just last week.
I went to take my meds out of the drawer and grabbed the bottle opened it and took them. Same thing I do every morning it just becomes a habit. Well I should have looked at it because I took Adderall which I was on last year for about a week before they took me off of it and I normally take Ritalin. I felt jumpy all day and couldnt figure out why until I got home and saw the wrong pill bottle sitting on the counter. Oops haha.
