Just wondering, has anyone ever just stopped taking their Strattera for a few days?
My head has been aching for the last couple of days and I wanted to take a decongestant (it is a sinus headache) but was afraid to because of the interaction with the Strattera. I called my doctor and she is away until Monday.
Anyhow, has anybody just stopped taking their Strattera for a couple of days? Is it dangerous to stop abruptly?
Does anyone take breaks from this medication? (I'm also curious after all these years how I would be without taking it.)

I have forgotten a few doses from time to time...the safety of which I do not know, and I'm sure my doctor would prefer I not, but he never mentioned anything in regards to it being unsafe. That doesn't mean you shouldn't check with your doctor...by all means!

For me the side effects were that my ADD was worse. My temper worse. Which equals to more stress in my household.

ETA: Also, my appetite increased, because straterra seems to suppress it. When I went back on it the nausea returned for a little bit, I had to reaclimate, as it were.

I reduced my dosage from 75mg to 25mg over a week. Once I got down to 25mg for one week, I really noticed my ADHD symptoms were back. Mostly, bouncing from one task to another to another to another. :D

Strattera takes some time to build up in your system. I also can take some time to leave your system. Once I realized how Strattera was helping me I went back to 75mg. It took about a week or 2 for the ADHD symptoms to disappear.
