I believe I just had a major "ah ha" moment, while watching SpongeBob of all things....
For anyone who isn't familiar with SpongeBob, he is a sponge, big surprise there. He's a very unassuming character, not very bright, but good hearted. He doesn't know how to be mean. He doesn't lie or cheat, but on the rare occassion he lets it happen, his concience gets the best of him and he must confess. He has such a positive outlook, he (almost) never doubts himself or thinks he can't do something, even if he fails at it over and over, he still has that positive attitude(today it happened to be taking a driving test). He can be a pain in the you know what to those around him, but he means well and in the end everyone is usually happy. Ya just can't help but like SpongeBob!
Anyway, while I watched SpongeBob with my kids I thought to myself, so what if SpongeBob isn't so smart, he's such a good "character!" And that's when it hit me that it doesn't matter if I am as unintelligent as I think I am or not. I am a good person, I know I am, I am kind-hearted and do my best to be fair and nice and helpful when I can, and I always have the best of intentions. I don't hold grudges, I'm not spiteful, I'm not mean. I am a child of God, he put me here for a reason, if it is only to raise those 3 beautiful little boys, then so be it, I am happy with that. I love those kids more then anything, I love being their mom it's the only thing in my life I've ever been able to actually say I've done well. So if that is my only reason for being (it's probably not, but if it is) I'm ok with that because it's a very special job that He has trusted me with!!
