Hi. I'm pretty new (only one previous post over in the ADDult section) - http://www.addforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3491
My problem -
I have already tried Strattera, Concerta, Metadate CD, and am currently trying ritalin. Nothing seems to help.
Doc says I still have other options to try... Adderall (regular or XR), Dexedrine, or Wellbutrin.
Has anyone had any success with any of these meds? I heard that sometimes when people don't respond well to ritalin they have a good response to dexedrine?
I have heard a few people who have responded a lot bettter to ADDeral thank other stimulants.
It's pretty much trial and error though. Many people alse need a combination of medication.

My doc mentioned the adderall wellbutrin combo (as a last resort.. if adderall doesnt work well enough by itself).. if I decide to try it that is.

I never tried drugs in highschool
since being an adult I've tried everything in you list and more.
Adderall and brand name ritalin work best for me, for what its worth.
Though some of the others, like Strattera, allowed me to experience the world significantly differently than i had even been able to for myself before, so even though i'm not still on it, and there were problems, it was valuable for me to do.
Good luck.
now swallow this.....
Welcome Crazy
and I am one of those people who didnt respond well to ridlin but dexadrin I just love
As I am very lazy when it comes to typing so I have created a welcome page and ADDed a link here to get you there

Hey Crazy Cutie,
I'm the same as Gary. Didn't respond too well with ritalin but dexadrine has been helpful. I've also been taking effexor as an anti-depressant with some definite benefits. My understanding is different med "cocktails" have different effects on different people. Keep trying until you find something that works, but do it systematically so you are certain of the benefits.
