After fluctuating between 25mg -> 40mg -> 25mg -> 18mg and still having bad side effects, I stopped taking it and felt no residual effects after a day or 2.

I realize that this is an old message, but wanted to add my 2 cents for the record...

I'm on my second withdrawal of Strattera in a six-month period. Yes, second. The first time I withdrew because of digestive side effects, and this time I'm "taking a break" because I was having heart-related side effects. Bad news... my heart kept pounding too hard and too fast when it shouldn't (e.g., in bed at night). I'm off it for a couple of weeks to see if it improves, and then it's back to square one with meds again. <sigh>.

Both times my "withdrawal" effects were more noticible and longer lasting than a day or two. However, consider that my system seems to be rather sensitive to Strattera in general. My dosage is LESS than the normal adult starting dose -- 36 mg (18mg twice a day) versus 40 mg once per day.

More specifically, my last dose was Monday morning. It's now Thursday afternoon and I've already noticed decreased attention span, headache, nausea, dizziness, etc. I have more energy (fantastic, considering that I'm usually tired ALL the time) but that's the only positive so far (heart still going too fast). On top of already feeling like I did before I started taking any meds, I feel sick to boot!
