I have been on Wellbutrin for a couple months now. My doc started me on Ritalin a few weeks back (in addition to the Wellbutrin), after I told him that I had noticed just slight differences he decided to up my dose. I asked about Concerta, so he gave a script for 36mg a day. I started it yesterday, I was kind of on edge most of the day. And now today I am pretty much the same way, and now I am getting really down, I don't know if it's just because I am upset that it's had this effect on me, or if it's the Concerta that is making me like this.:(

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I'm just wondering if it is something that might go away, does anyone have any idea or any experience with this that will help?

methylphenidate can make a person dysphoric, perhaps the combination of wellbutrin and concerta is doing this. If you are taking Wellbutrin you should require less concerta. Both wellbutrin and concerta work on the same neurotransmitters, in theory you could be increasing these chemicals to high. I would talk to your doctor.:confused:

Andrea, the wellbutrin did not play well with my ritalin/concerta. I stopped taking it and am much better. This is not medical advice, just my experience. You should call your doc. Don't live feeling like this. Don't be like me and feel guilty for calling-the doc gets the big bucks-this is their job! For me, I think it was the combination of the drugs. They don't interact, but you know how we all react so differently to meds.

Call the doc, till then, talk to the pharmacist about going back to the lower dose of either wellbutrin or concerta till you can talk to the doc on monday. PM me too if you like. More to say, but not here.

Right now I am "ok" again.:rolleyes: I have no idea why I am up and down like this, but I don't like it.
I think what I will do, since it's Friday, I will see how the weekend goes and call on Monday if it's the same.
