I am terrible at filling out job applications by hand. 8-10 tries is normal. Is there a way to add text to a pdf document that looks like a photocopy of an old form? I don't freak too easily, but this is one of my freakout things. I need to send it tomorrow.

Adobe Distiller will let you open a pdf as read/write.

Scanneed in images are in the form of a bitmap. If you can get the image into the clipboard you can paste it into a word document. From there you can manipulate as desired and export back into pdf.
