Does anyone here add just a little caffeine to their diet despite the contraindication with dex? If so do you do it systematically because you find it does something to the medication? I think I've found just a little coffee in the morning adds this extra dimension of focus or something. I'm really interested in trying this once I lower my caffeine tolerance again.

For the record I've also found that while drinking a tonne of coffee with dex feels terrific it also takes away your focus and can make you go crazy later on.

I drink a medim amount of coffee..I HAVE to have a cup first up..I have no idea what effect it has on dex..I have never thought about it..

Even though I don't take dex, I find I need coffee every morning anyways. I'm also w/o add stimulants as that could be the reason...

Im thinking about switching to Dex. But right now im on Adderal xr and SR. The days where i drink coffee with adderall for some reason i feel really racey and am able to concentrate completely, like i cant move my face away. Its weird, time also seems to fly by.

*shrugs* I've never noticed caffeine making the slightest difference to how my Dex works except that I can maybe focus a bit better. But mostly I take caffeine to wake up. (Dex doesn't help keep me awake so much.)

I know that this doesn't apply to most people, so I wouldn't go telling everyone, "Oh, that's nonsense, drink your coffee!" But it's never made me agitated or anything else to have even several hundred mgs of caffeine in my system at the same time as Dex. (Although I am trying my best to keep my caffeine consumption as low as I can these days; I don't actually recommend taking several hundred mgs a day!)

If your body doesn't say "no" to both at once, that's individual to you, and I've certainly heard of people "boosting" their meds with a bit of coffee. Maybe you'd want to discuss it with your doc?

i drink probably the equivalent of 3 cups of coffee for breakfast. they are rather strong. i take 10 mg of dexedrine after breakfast before leaving for work. the only effect i've noticed is the dex plus coffee makes me need to pee reallllllly badly by the time i get to the office. that's about it. i pee every half hour for an hour and a half. then i'm fine.

my feet don't sweat anymore. at the beginning of dex my feet used to sweat. a lot.

Dexedrine seems to be good in combination with other stimulants in my experience.
