View Full Version : How to initiate a poll!

•Are there any instructions about how to start a thread with a poll? Can be directed to it? I checked a box that indicated I wanted to do a poll, but then what?

•Can we always preview our posts in ALL the various fora? I would like to do that. Can we go back at a later time and correct our posts? Instructions needed at this end.

•What do you mean by " show signature?" Unless it is something that looks different from the typography in the body, why not just insert a line at the end of the post and type in some additional text as a closing?

•I also don't know how to do that picture/illustration thing at the left, but I think I saw instructions somewhere. I presume it is not as easy as the "attach file" message, below I can't remember where, if anywhere, I saw . . . .

Thanks a lot!

(I "speak Macintosh," by the way.)

Have you checked out the help section?

Thanks, Tara. I looked at the list of forums, and didn't see anything in that vertical list, which I considered the most likely spot. I started the thread for that reason. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

When you post a new message you get an option "after it seems too late" to ad a pole.

If you think it is too late, you'll likely skip right past the opportunity....

Start a new thread and take every step VERY slowly, and read ALL of the screen carefully.

I think you'll find the pole option!

Good luck!

This is only possible when you START a thread, not even when you edit it.

On the "composition screen i am on, below the "always there" four check boxes there are additional sections at the bottom.

First is "attach file"

Next is "post a pole"

check the check box "Yes! Post a pole!"

And pick how many items you want (4 to 20).

When yo submit the thread, you'll have an extra set of steps involving the pole.

hope that helps.
