My current doc refuses to write scripts for IR adderall b/c he says it's "like doing a line of coke" which I completely disagree with, but tactfully refrain from saying so.

I was thinking of finding a new doc and seeing if I can get some IRs from him. But I kinda like the XRs b/c they last much longer, so I'd probably end up going to both doctors. But I think you can get into trouble if you're caught doing this, so I probably won't go through with it, but I have been considering it nonetheless.

Does anyone here use multiple docs?

Get Documentation from your Testing. If you have not had Testing, get it done.

Maybe you can get Adderall XR or something.

I found Adderall was a little euphoric and 'rushy', followed by feelings of passing out/collapse.

Dexedrine and Dexedrine Spansules, OTOH, are very smooth and there is no violent onset or wear-off.

I'd really recommend you get the Testing and Paperwork done from a Testing Psychologist. It will also help you to learn what your DEFICITS and STRENGTHS are, brain-wise, so you can use your brain (and learning/memory) to the best of your ability...

NB. Here in Canada, "Double Doctoring" is illegal. Most Doctors have their Pts sign "Narcotics Agreements".

If you get your Testing Paperwork done, you will always be able to get your meds, or some kind of Stimulant. (Unless you have hypertension or a brain aneurysm, or some condition barring stimulant usage.)

do you mean the paperwork from your school system when you were a kid? should i have that? i think they only hold it 10yrs? i kept meaning to get a copy, now it's right on the line where its probably been destroyed.

Let not confuse the issue. You need a differant doctor. He is flat out incorrect... and he's certainly not going to give you dexedrine with an attitute like that. If you were in the US I would say fire his *** and find someone else. Since your in canada and don't know as much about your health care system but what you are proposing would NOT be illegal under any streath as long as your abandoning the first doctor. It would indeed look bad and be illigal to obtain scrips from two doctors concurrently but that should not be your goal. You goal should be the get the treatment options you need. You didn't say why you want the IR but there are many, many legit reasons why it may work better in some cases or in conjuntion with the XR. Reguardless of the reason you need a differant doctor. I'm not saying doctors should just give out whatever you want to but they should provide a valid reason for not perscribing a perfectly acceptable drug for someone already taking basicly the same drug. Your doctor is essentialy calling you a drug addict or just very ignorant.
