Has anyone here heard of any connections between Dexedrine and night terrors?

Absolutly not EVER. Xanax on the other hand.... weird stuff. Dex does tend to make me kind of tired but I have never used it for sleep like a few people.

No. I've known kids who weren't on any meds who had night terrors.

I'm just asking because I'm 19 years old and I think I had my first ever night terror on Christmas Eve. Pleae keep in mind that a night terror is different then a nightmare. I ran out of bed, while I was still asleep, and was shaking and screaming on the floor.

Anxiety/stress shows up in many different 'shapes'.

Please understand that I'm not minimizing your experience by saying this.

If you were experiencing any anxiety/stress, at any *time* prior to that date, the 'anxiety/stress' may appear, in a subconscious 'form'

I've had some interesting night terrors. My boyfriend gets them from wearing his nicotine patch to sleep. I would imagine it is possibly a combination of stress and a med varience. Did you take your med later or did you take too much? Have you been overworked, stressed, unhealthy? Could it have been something you ate or drank? There are alot of things to consider before you blame the meds but if it recurrs and you examine the other possible causes I would bring it to the attention of your doctor.

Paxil gives nightmares.

I've heard that natural melatonin gives some people nightmares, too. Night terrors are very different from nightmares.
