I've just been recently diagnosed with inattentive-add (as a senior in college--I am winter break right now) and I've started a regimen of adderall, which is working. The stories in the "writing papers" thread described my paper writing process exactly, especially with the procrastination. I noticed a recurring trend in the advice was to push the deadline forward and to get an editor or tutor or just someone to be accountable for.

I'd like to put together an email writing group. Once we get an initial set of members, we can decide on how we want the group to function, but here are a few of my ideas.

1. We would tell the group when we receive new writing assignments and our goals or plan to accomplish them.
2. Members of the group would hold the person to his or her deadlines/plans and help with advice (through email, AIM, maybe even phone calls).
3. Members would also provide feedback with writing samples (I know this is where I need the most help).
4. We would not have to limit this to just college writing, but any type of writing we have to do. I am working on a set of essays for post-college jobs during break.

If you think this is a good idea, please PM me and once I get a set of responses I'll email the group. Anyone who stumbles upon this thread after it gets old should feel free to join; this group will in no way be exclusive to the first few that respond.
