Im not sure if its been discussed thoroughly but i searched and couldnt find much on this. So my question is what is ok to do and take while on add/adhd medication such as adderall. Is it ok to take multivitamins and if so when? is it ok to weight train and take protein. What are the necessary precautions and dietary information for exercise while on add meds. I have exercised while on adderall XR20 a few times and it seems to help. I can sustain longer times in cardio and lift more weight and more reps. is this normal and safe? Any help and any info would be great. Thanks!

Thanks for all the help lol.
Everyone is different, so you might react differently to all of this. I know several people on meds like myself who work out, though. I'd ask your doctor if in doubt before trying anything strenuous, particularly if you have been sedentary.
I go to the gym almost daily now. I've been using Adderall XR 20mg in the morning for about a year.
I do cardio, run and lift weights with no apparent ill effects. I do seem to sweat more but not like I used to when taking strattera. There were a lot of strange things going on when I took Strattera - profuse sweating, back muscle pain, abdominal pain, sudden weakness, and I often would feel rotten and stop before finishing the workout instead of feeling invigorated.
Supplements: R-ALA and ALCAR in morning, Minerals during day (HSU), multi and time release C at night. 3-5 fish oil caps at night. I'm back on low carb diet for a while now - it worked wonderfully for me in the past.
Other: I drink coffee, green tea, or one of the low carb energy drinks when studying.

I get depressed if I don't exercise. And, from what I understand, exercising actually does something to some chemical in our brain that MAKES US feel better.
Kinda' reminds me of sunshine & some of the studies on the fact that (reasonable) exposure to the sun does something to some chemical in our brain that MAKES US feel better. :)
One of my few New Years Resolutions is to exercise EVERYYY DAYYYY even if it's my floor exercises.
Crunches, stretching, pushups, 5 lb dumbbells, etc.

Any input if any of the following supplements negates the benefits of Adderall?
BSN Nitirix (creatine ethyl ester & arginine)
IDS Ripped Tabs (stanozol - legal alternative)
Tight! (fatburner)
Whey Protein Isolate
