I have now been on it for 30 days. I started at 20mg and have gone up 20 more each week and im now at 80mg. Not really any sides effects. I did wake up at night the first week in hot sweets some times but went back to sleep easy. Same thing has happened when I take it later in the day or night because im used to it at like 830am . I don't normally drink caffeine. The bad side effects seem to happen to people that start on a large dose. I am 180 lbs and I started on 20mg. I don't know how someone smaller then me can start on anything more then that and not have worse side effects.
I think it helps but don't know how much yet because im not in school at the moment. The 2nd day I was on 40 mg I had to study for a test and it did help me concentrate better and remembering stuff seemed easier and that was on half the dose im taking now so I hope ill see a bigger improvement when school starts in 2 weeks. I go back to my doctor tomm. and she may up my dose, but im not sure.
It does not make me do stuff, it helps me remember stuff and has helped me concentrate and not get distracted so easily. I have never tried adderall so I cant compare it and the last time I took Ritalin was like 10 years ago so I cant compare that. I think it will help people concentrate but will not make them want to study really anymore which is what some people are looking for in a drug it seems. I do get more done with it though but its not like a boost of energy or anything like some drugs are. It seems to work all day for me and I feel like my normal self no ups and downs. Ill try to update in a month or so to see how it helps with school.
