Hi you guys. I'm sure this has been asked before, but how do I tell when I've reached the best dosage on Concerta? What are the side effects that I should be seeing when I'm taking too much? I used to take 108 mgs of Concerta, and I was on that dose for a long time, and then I changed to Adderal for a while, then regular Ritalin. Now, I'm back on Concerta but I've been on 72 mgs. That's been working well, for about a week, and today I decided to try 108 mgs again to see if that would work better. And, it definately did, but I wanted to know if the side effects are normal or if this dose is too high. When I took 108 mgs today I had this really bad headache and I got annoyed easily whenever anyone tried to distract me. So, my question is, what are the type of side effects I would feel if I was on a dosage that was too high?

Hard to say. Whenever someone goes up in dosage there usually are side-effects. Most of the time the side-effects go away. I think the current school of thought on titration is to go to the highest dose possible that allows for maximum benefits but without the side-effects. So if your headaches and agitation continue then that would mean you are at a too high a dose.
