hey all

Im on 40 mg XR Adderall that I have been spacing apart--Ill take one around 8 am and the 2nd dose at around 10/11am--this seems to help the duration and the crashes are not as noticable. Has anyone notice that this helps with them to space aprt their doses?

Also in the evenings when Im starting to wind off the meds, I'll get heart palpatations every now and then. Should I be concerned? I notice that since being on Adderall Ive also developed a sense of paranoia and will think that maybe Im going to have a heart attack.

Definitely check with your doc on all of your concerns! I never took Adderall, but I did used to get a lot of palpitations, espcially when winding down for the day. I found that by making sure I got a magnesium supplement and drinking A LOT of water, that kept them at bay. After doing some research, I found that dehydration ican be one cause of palps, so that is one thing you can do to try to help those right away, and help keep your mind at ease. Good luck.

I get heart palpitations and general increased heart rate when winding off the med for the day. It can be a bit unnerving. My Dr. put me on a beta blocker and it helps considerably, especially since my heart rate increases also as I wind off the meds each day. It doesn't make sense, but it does happen - and from what I read here - seems to be common.
