I'm 27 year old male who was recently diagnosed with ADHD.

My doctor has started me on 20MG Adderall XR, and I have been on it for 2 weeks now.

I'm having a mixed reaction, throughout the day, I keep feeling up and down on it. I felt it hit me the first day I took it within 45 mins. I get this tinglish feeling throughout my body for most of the day, and I feel very high on this drug (I feel like I'm on something very stong). Is this a normal feeling or should I decrease my dosage?

Should I go with 15mg or 10mg?

Hang with it. The 'high' feelings will go away fairly soon. If it doesn't after another week or so talk to your doc about decreasing the dosage.

It's funny to me that I was started on 10mgs of AdderallXR (I'm a "healthy-sized" gal, if ya know what I mean) and after a MONTH when I asked if I could go up to 20mgs - my doctor looked at me as if I was asking her for a million dollars or something, and said to me, "TWENTY milligrams is a LARGE DOSE!!"

SueLOL! Sue, same thing here. My doc is very cautious which is not a bad thing and she started me on 10mg, now on 20mg.

Tim, I'm going through the same types of things just getting started on Adderall. I'm going to give it some time and see what happens.

Should I go with 15mg or 10mg?Ask your doc, I'm sure that they won't object to a lower dose. Having good results on a lower dose is a good thing.
