Hey everyone...I'm basically asking the same question in three different places but maybe this way I will get a response!
I was just diagnosed on the 13th with innattentive type ADHD. I tried strattera for less than a week and hated the tense muscles (very painful) and my GP switched me to Focalin xr (btw my GP is ADHD and completely understood my rambling:D )...anyway...

How long has Focalin been on the market?
Are there any adverse side effects I should be aware of.
How does this medication compare to other stimulant medications?
How likely is it that I will experience a "crash"?

my day is litterally like 18hours long...I work from 7:30-3:30 and I have classes from 4:00-9:45... what time do ya'll suggest I take my 10mg of Focalin xr... or should I talk to my GP about getting a second dosage for the afternoon so I can pay attention in class?

Should I continue to try different meds until I find one that I feel works for me or just keep quiet if this one doesn't work?

I can answer one part of that: you may experience a REBOUND as the meds wear off. This will not be like the "crash" experienced by a person abusing chemicals.

I would ask about a second dose after you see how the first one suits you.
