I was recently put on adderall and was wondering what is the amount of time it is effective? I got the feeling it started to wear out come towards 8pm and I took it at 11am. I'm only taking 10mg is a higher dose in order or what? Any help is appreciated.

Also having an issue with what I take it with it seems less effective if I eat breakfast then take it. It's like it doesnt kick in till later?

Yes adderall XR, I guess food does decrease effectiveness because I felt great the first day I took it but almost had no effect when I ate breakfast next day. The appetite side effect doesnt affect me at all i'm always hungry as hell. I wonder if I will ne a higher dose?

I was always hungry on Adderall too, which didn't help matters. As for a higher dose I cannot say; I decided against Adderall myself.

What alternatives are there to this medication? Something similar I like the calming effect I have a anxiety issue so it works well for the ADD and anxiety
