After 5 months on adderall XR 15mg it stoped working as well as it did. Yesterday I saw my psychiatrist and told him about it. He increased my prescription to 20mg...this doesn't seem to make any difference. Any suggestion? Would it be a good idea to switch to Dex? (I already tried conerta a few months ago and din't have such good results as with adderall)

To me it sounds like a good idea to try something else, maybe the IR form of Adderall? Possibly Dex but Dex makes up a large portion of Adderall to begin with...

Are you sure it's not working, or you're just not feeling the HIGH you used to get off it at first? As with most drugs that can be abused, after daily use you will tend not to feel any sort of high, but you should still be able to concentrate or at least feel some differences in your attentiveness.

I have a pretty good feeling no matter what medication you try, as long as it's a stimulant the same thing will happen... and you're probably alot better off with what you have than something such as Strattera, which seems to work for about 1 out of um, 1091023910. :p

Just a thought.

-drewbocopDrewbocop, I'm not sure I understand well. How would you describe the high you refer to?
