Had a CT scan last night in the ER. They found a small hemangioma on a lobe of my liver. All the stuff I found on the internet is really scary about this. If anyone knows of a good links or other source, could you share it with me?
Sorry I have not been on very often, very infrequent access to the internet right now.

Becky,
I hope this helps.
From what I understand is that it's a benign tumor (consisting of small blood vessels) in the liver. It is fairly common among women. It doesn't often require treatment, but if it does it is surgical resection. Apparently, the tumor is, more often than not, smaller then several centimeters.

A hemangioma, if on the skin, is a called a 'birthmark' (dilated blood vessels, like a 'port of wine stain'), IIRC.
Looks like liver ones can be cavernous, and the problem is if they rupture.
Hormones make them worse, i see. eg estrogen, pregnancy.
