Anyone find nicotine works better for adhd than their prescribed medication/s.

I'm starting to think nicotine worked better for my inattentive adhd than my currently prescribed medication(less side effects).

Nicotine is very selective in the areas of the brain it effects.

I know nicotine has it's own set of issues(addictive, etc).

I do find that I smoke like a bleeding STACK when I am off my meds...I would think that taking nicotine in its unsmokable forms at a level that would provide relief would cause some really horrible side effects too. Just my 2C, free to disregard as ever.

Many find that while on Dexamphetamine, they often chain smoke, this is called 'reward smoking'. I found that when i was having productive days while on a largish dose of Dex recently, i smoked heavily. Nicotine increases Dopamine and has reported AD and brain concentration enhancing effects.
