Hi all:

I know one of Concerta's side effects is high blood pressure.

I've been on Concerta 36 for six weeks and went in for a quick check-up yesterday. All was fine except blood pressure... it spiked nearly thirty points!!

Before meds, it was way low. I execrcise pretty regulalry, but admit that I haven't been too consistent lately. Also have big job stress this month and suspect this is a factor.

Anyone else see a big BP spike?

My blood pressure went up drastically when I tried Concerta (and I have high BP to begin with -- though controlled with med.)

I have to take Norvasc along with Concerta to keep my diastolic under 90. Talk to your doctor

Blood pressure is of concern when taking a stimulant. In another thread, Lars mentioned asking the doctor about focalin because focalin causes fewer/lesser of the side effects of concerta based meds.
