I have been on Strattera for one month and I still have an anxious stomach. I have both ADD/Anxiety, or is it anxiety coming out at ADD.....this is something we wonder.

Anyhow, I really don't have any other side effects; just the nervousness, I had some irritability at first and that has gotten better. Although it is still there at times:(

Any thoughts? I will be at this current dose for one more week and then my doctor wanted me to call and report how I was feeling.

I could not adjust to 80 mgs of Strattera, so I cut back to 40.

I don't know what to think about Strattera. One day I want to inundate the drug with a deluge of superlatives, the next I wanna throw my prescription away. (pardon the redundancy)

I also get an odd taste in my mouth from the drug. I do get some benefits, but when my new insurance is active I will pursue a new pharmaceutical avenue.

Thanks for sharing your experience.:) I will stick it out and hope for the best, but the anxious stomach is not fun. It tends to happen more in the late afternoon into the evening.

Huh????

Strattera is used for ADHD not for anxiety. The only meds I know of for anxiety (going by the books) are anxiolytics and antidepressants. Strattera could help your anxiety if its related to the adhd. In the meantime maybe therapy could help. speak to your doctor about getting a referal for counceling.

Thanks for the help!! :) I appreciate the replies, I think I have decided to go back to Prozac. The anxiety has gotten so bad on Strattera that I think I am going to jump out of my body.

I also have a son with anxiety and ADHD, if anything I need to be stable to handle his issues. When I was on Prazac I was better able to help him and when I am calm he is calm. We are so much alike, we feed of from each other. Not a pretty site!:o

The only reason I went off Prozac was because of the sexual side effects, so we will just have to do something about that and hopefully it will improve.

Strattera has been wonderful for my son, he has been on it since he was 4 years old. I swear by it for him, but maybe my anxiety is so high that I need to treat the anxiety before the ADD?
