So, there I was, sitting in my desk in the back of my geometry class, with a 5 question quiz stareing at me, watching as I nervousley picked at my nails.

There I was, 6' 1'' tall, can bench 150lbs, lift 500 on the bear, do curles with 40lb barbells, and hunched over my desk like I had a broken back, and trying to keep myself from the point of tearing up, like I had a hour ago in chemistry.

Then I looked down at my arms: "Ah, not again". I quickley rolled down my sleves to hide my arms.

They had allready started to turn purple. I then tried to forse myself again to try and answer one of the questions on my quiz. After a few moments of stareing at the first question, I notices a flash of heat from my arms again...not good.

I rolled one up, to examine them again, now the orange spots were starting to appear, and the purple was getting darker, I knew that if I didn't start calming myself down, I would be back cherry red by the time I had to turn in my quiz, I quietley folded up my quiz, put it in my pocket, and gave in to the urge to sleep that had been plagueing me since I walked out of chemistry class.

++++

Its all true, my arms really do change color. I have NO idea why, and I'm not exactley shure that its healthy...

On top of that, I think im starting to develop some stress isshues or something...I can't do something without feeling like I should be doing it diffrentley, or better, and when I do do something, I lawyas feel like I should of done better, it goes on, and on, and on.

Strange....

I"m not expert, but it sounds like anxiety to me Vhan!
But I think you should post this in the anxiety section, I"m sure you'd get better answers there.

That does sound a lot like anxiety. ADDers have that at 3x the rate of non ADDers. I'd encourage you to talk to a doctor about your arms.

Take care,

Anxiety can do some pretty funny things -- a doctor could help you more in figuring out what is going on and what you can do to help it. I have an anxiety disorder secondary to my ADHD. It started when I was a kid -- it seems like I read that 30% or so of ADD kids have anxiety issues. Some simple things that might help a bit are exercising more and cutting down or out on products with caffeine -- they tend to make anxiety problems worse.

Ok, just a update, Today I dubbled up on my meds, (took, two 32mg pills)

1st hour gym, a little boreing, but it always kinda is,
2nd hour chem, It was so much better, I was focused, asking questions, just a great day. in chemistry,
3rd hour geometry, I think I A'ced my geometry quiz,
Lunch, made the mistake of drinking orange and mango fruit punch...TOTALLY RUINED ME! but I still made it out in one piece!

SO it looks like the increase of my meds really, really helped me, ...I go to the docters on the 8th, 3 days from now...

Maybe I can just get by with takeing doubbles of my meds on test days, and critical days, and not takeing any of my meds on adverage days. That way I don't have to ask my dad for a increace,

And daily work only counts towards 10% of my grade, tests are 60%, and projects are 30%...soo........Looks like I have a plan!

Glad that you found something that helped. My Concerta helped my anxiety too. According to Dr. Tom Brown who wrote Attention Deficit Disorder: The Unfocused Mind in Children and Adults, unmedicated ADDers are very at risk for emotional dysregulation because their frontal cortex isn't doing it job of filtering and regulating things.

Sounds like something vascular is going on. Purple arms with orange spots are not garden-variety anxiety signs. Talk to your Doctor, eh?

Filtering 'em? Sounds kinda fammiliar, I notice that I decend into utter chaos as far as my sensory is conserned, :p

O yea, and about my arms, HAHA, I did a litttle test today in school.

I pulled up my sleeves again in geomatry, I had one hand resting on my desk, writeing, and the outher holding my head up, and shure enoughf, the one holding up my head was starting to turn purple....

When I roll up my sleeves, I also twist them, and tuck it in so it stays, so I have a twist, and a knot, on the inside of my elbow, when I raised up my hand, it just cut of the circulation, :p

During the quiz, I was sitting with my arms up for at least 15 minutes. :p

So you're literally tying yourself up in knots, eh?:eyebrow:

Glad you're getting a handle on what's causing it -- still might be a good idea to run it by a physician.

Hope you have a good day!:)
