Hello Foks
Kinda new to the whole idea of treatment for adhd+ and dont really have much love for the stimulants plan (side effects are as bad as the symptoms in my mind).
just looking for input and or other ideas on whats worked for some of you?? thanks TY
Welcome to the forum. Their are many different treatment options other than stimulants. Coaching, Strattera, etc.

welcome TV ..
It can take some time to get the correct medication worked out. As long as you have a good supportive Doc, you should get the help you need

Don't rule out stimulants. They are very effective and the side effects are usually not bad... it really varies from person to person.
In any case your doctor will probably try you on nonstimulants first and migrate to the stimulants of the nonstimulant options do not work.
If you are very much set against the use of stimulants to treat adhd, express your concerns to your doctor as he/she can probably work with you on getting your adhd treated.

Welcome. Stimulants are the must useful medications used for ADHD. 2nd in line are the antidepressants and anti-anxieties but they are mostly used when stimulants fail to work and there is secondary depression or anxiety...
