i was prescribed dexedrine 2x15mg spansules.

the doctor told me to take them 6-8 hours apart. the problem is that the first pill is basically ineffective. it helps... the ability to focus on one task is better. but not by very much.

the second pill is nearly perfect. i take them at 8:30 and 2:30. it lasts for 6 strong hours and two not as strong hours, but that's fine, seeing as how it's usually bedtime.

i need to go in for a new script next monday, and i was wondering if this is common, and if so... what did you and your doctor do about it? i don't have an appointment for another two weeks...

i'm thinking about asking to try the instant release version. i've had better results with instant release medications. extended release medicines seem to be way too unpredictable in my system.

umm.. i think that's it.
thanks

I take immediate release dexedrine for a medication and it is the only one that helps me.

do u drink orange juice in the morning? take vitamins? eat fruity cereal? drink fruit juice? soda? eat fruit? stay away from citric acid! this might be the reason... if not then maybe its just that the second pill is building on whatever is left of the first one thas still in ur bloodstream?
