I've seen a few postings about the best time to take meds and wondered if the forum members could point me to further information about the pros/cons of taking meds (in my case, Concerta) close to a mealtime. Someone had posted a list saying the following foods were to be avoided close within an hour of a dose:

Fruit juices
Gatorade
Granola bars
High-vitamin cereals
Lemonade
Oral supspension anitbiotics
Pop-Tarts
Powerbars
Soft drinks, colas
Vitamins containing vitamin C
Products with citric acid.<!-- / message -->

Does this mean that one should take meds a good hour before/after a breakfast of cereal and juice? What about having caffeine just before or after?

Any further information would be great...
