Hi there.
I am SO glad to find this site. It's hard sometimes for non-ADDer to understand what I am trying to say and my frustrations.
The UP side of me having ADD :).... I think that it has made me more compassionate to those that are struggling or going through a difficult time. I have had some great successes in my job turning around the nights of my patients - so sweet when that happens.
The down side of me havign ADD :( . . . sometimes I feel so frustrated with people misunderstanding me, I just wanna climb under a rock and hide. The funny thing i even if I did that, I wouldnt stay there long. . . .I am an extrovert and love people.

Welcome Carillion!
We know how you feel. It's great you find the good side....of ADD.
And when you are feeling displaced feel free to come on over to the "dark side" we will make you feel right at home again!
Our speciality....multiple subjects at once...then being off topic on the subject we started...interesting debates over serious issues..or nothing at all.
Conversations riddled with bunny trails off into...and wait this is my favorite...
(btw I am a lover of visuals, it's my signature here LOL)
Chasing Butterflies....ADDer's love chasing ....OH look a pretty

well, the continuing saga off ADD UPS and downs:
where do i begin . . . there is so much that has happened and changed for me in the last 2 years and not all has been for the better. Wow this is really vague here. . . lol When I get time i will explain, but for now, suffice it to say that I am overwhelmed by all this.
I really need to get my butt in gear to do something about it. Which I am starting to do. But It has been much easier to ignore the issues - so not me - and just keep pedaling the bike but that cant go on anymore I am stuck in a rut and no... AAA can't tow this Car out of it. :) I have to do it.
i guess you could say i could use a lil encouragement here.

ok in a nutshell my life has changed in the lats couple of years. I was a stay at home mom of 4. Then I went to nursing school full time. I was really organized and had a great schedule that worked the first year. But that was not the case the second year. I was also working part time and for the first time in many years i had to work. well, I failed my medical surgical class and basically was burned out with all i was trying to do
After the new year I started workign for an agency, which was like beign on call all the time. i worked all shifts, had no schedule and therefore had trouble getting anything done other than work.
8 months later i started working fulltime at the hospital. It 's been nice to have a schedule but I am still struggling with getting other things done besides work. I work second shift 5 nights a week and that has its issues in and of it self
then after the first of the year my husband's job contract ended and he is on unemployment and finances are really really tight well they were before now they are REALLY REALLY tight. I am carying benefits now for the family.
throw into the mix that my husband is more organized and logical then me and it can be tough explaining myself to him. i do have to say he is my biggest support in other ways. I dont want to seem like I am dumping on him.
well this has been as if someone took my word search book away from me and handed me a suduko book. now i am dealign with different rules and procedures, and what happened to letters i have numbers to deal with ... what the hay is this all about.
so as I struggle to process this change along with other condiment issues (i.e. side issues) that have cropped up it has been quite the journey.
oh yeah and finances were tight enough that we couldn't afford to pick up my daughters meds, so i let her take mine - we are on the same med. because she needed them to focus for school. well im back on the med again :)
well this nut shell has grown way big.
there is more to this but this will have to do for now.
