What med(s) help you get through your typical college day? How much do you take? I'm just asking for statistics so additional info posted is optional...

For me Zoloft 100mg in the morning and Risperdal .5mg in the evening help me very well. I'm glad that there are plenty of med options around to help me progress and make things as best they can be at the moment...

I am a dexedrine guy when it comes to the courses, I don't have common sense so it helps with the dry courses I take now... English Composition and Effective Speaking... took them together specifically because I would sway my interest in other directions.

I was taking Ritalin (20 mg 2X a day), and my psychiatrist has now put me on Dexedrine to see which I find more effective for me. I'm taking 10 mg of IR tablets, twice daily at the moment. So far I find the Dexedrine to last a little longer, keep me more focused and I don't feel that sharp "rebound" that I felt when Ritalin wore off. So I think I'll continue with Dexedrine for now. It's working well at helping me focus in class, taking better notes, and doing my homework more efficiently. YAY! :)

I'm thinking about the methylpehnidate + clonodine combo I learned about from an article on this combo in children with adhd and tics...

I prefer Dexedrine or Focalin when it comes to being a student.

However, I prefer Desoxyn anytime when I am not a student. Desoxyn was so smooth and peaceful for me, and it's only negative side effects for me were it's high cost & relaxing feeling. It was just too relaxing for me to help as a student.

Ive only tried adderall,

I asked my doc if I could try dex and she said no way.

Iv read on this forum from a number of different people that dex is smoother.
I like adderall but lately my usual dose has been making my heart beat real fast and if i take a less dose i cant concentrate on my reading.

I am a dexedrine and strattera girl. I need both to really focus my concentration. One just doesn't seem to do it.

What I would like to ask is does anybody understand bi polar.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I cannot understand it at all! How does it compare if at all to ADD!

Do people with ADD talk very fast. I talk very fast and so the country seems to feel that I am hyper but most of the time 99 percent I sit at home and stare at the wall and do not move.

this may save your life it may be to late for me

I DID WELLBUTRIN FOR 1 MONTH AND IT MADE MY HEART BEAT FAST

IF YOUR HEART BEATS FAST STOP ANY DRUG YOU ARE DOING AT ONCE

I NOW HAVE CHEST PAINS AND THE DAMAGE MAY BE PERMENENT

ANY INCREASES IN HEART RATE ARE VERY BAD IT MAY NOT SEEM LIKE MUCH BUT IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

i DO NOW HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESURE MY BLOOD PRESURE WAS NORMAL BEFORE TAKING WELBUTRIN AND WAS CHECKED IT IS NOW 175/90 FROM AUTO MACHINE MANUALLY IT IS 110/90

DO NOT TRUST THE AUTO BLOD PRESURE MACHINE AT THE HOSPITAL THEY SEEM VERY PROFESSIONAL BUT DO NOT WORK IT REALLY MUST BE DONE MANUALLY

WELLBUTRIN HAS CAUSE HIGH BLOOD PRESURE

THE VOTE IS NOT REALLY TRUE HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD USE DESOXYN IF THEY COULD.

THE REASON ADDRELL IS HIGH IS BECAAUSE IT IS MOST GIVEN OUT.

IT IS NOT THE CHOICE.

THE VOTE ONLY SHOWS WHAT IS GIVEN OUT THE MOST.

NOT WHAT WOULD BE PREFERED.

I am on Straterra, and Celexa.

Strattera does deal with hyper -ness, but has helped in otherways.

I also am on hormones as of this yr, helps me focus and not worry about some of the

perimenopausal symp. when trying to study.

I also get a good night sleep which is essential.
