How do you define Asperger's Disorder?

I define Asperger's as another way to make me work a little bit harder to be who I want to be...

I do not define it in the same way as you at all. Your definition is too positive and optimistic. It sounds like you ate one of those "self help" books that my mother seems obsessed with. I have to work a LOT harder to be who I want to be and I don't have the energy.

I would say, if anything, AS takes me a step further away from who I want to be with each passing day, and someday soon, my dreams will be too far out of my reach to ever actualize.

Have you been to the forums at wrongplanet.net ?

They have a chat room with a number of AS/HFA types who hang out there.....and a few ADDers.

It's a good place to visit just to chat and be yourself.

I did visit that forum before, but didn't post much, I guess I found it a little intimidating. Some of the people there seemed a bit strange, but I guess I am as strange as them. Thanks for the post, I will go back some time and make myself participate in their forum and hopefully, eventually I might fit in.

Pursuing dreams is hard. That is what makes it worth doing. :)

As far as strange goes... well it is a strange world we live in, and it takes all kinds of people to make a world, so don't let a little oddness bug you too much. :p

Try the chat on wrongplanet. There is a big mix of people there, some odd, some not so odd, but it is all real and the people are nice. :)
