Hi

I am new here, anyway I have ADD and I am an adult I am 21 years old. Well what it is like for me having ADD is that I still feel like I act too young for my age sometimes, like I need to grow up but dont really want to. Also sometimes I can still get quite hyperactive and I feel like Im going completely insane. I am doing a sport course because I feel like I have excess energy that I need to do something just like a child has. I find it hard sometimes to socialise with people my age they are either older or younger for me to get along with. Also I can feel depressed for no reason and I get bored really easily. In my course it is a diploma which is a level 6 and I find it really hard, what I find hard about it is that with the studying and the assignments I tend to put them off to the last minute and then find it hard in an exam, how do I change this does anyone know. Has anyone got similar situations as I do. Love to hear from you.

hey roxy.
i am a 24 year old college student and i have the exact same problem. often i find myself with too much to do so everything is last minute, or i have time, but can not get started because my head is so clouded. i started focalin last week, and it completely changed my life, until about three days ago, i am not feeling the effects of it nearly much, or at all. but when it was working, what a huge difference. i felt like a completely new person. i was calm for the first time in my life, and able to think clearly like i have wanted to for so long.
i have a ton of school stuff to do this weekend and i am having a really difficult time just as i normally would but it's worse, especially trying to deal with all the craziness of meds, and being diagnosed recently (just last week).
plus i'm obsessed with this addforum at the moment.
so i'm in the same boat as you. any advice from others would be great.

Ya it's amazing how it actually makes things feel slower and less liek ah! ah! ah! go! Oh no! This! No that! When I first took ritalin and then went to salsa class my teacher even noticed and was like you're doing so well! I felt so relaxed
