Hey everybody. I've been having problems with my heart rate lately (it's like 120 beats per minute). Well, actually not just lately, as far back as I can remember it's been high. But I'm wondering if anxiety is causing it, because my doctor was asking if I have any issues with anxiety or panic attacks. I don't think I do. Except for a few times. Like when I'm extremely stressed out, I'll wake up in the middle of the night with my heart pounding, I'm real restless, and my thoughts are racing, and I can't seem to calm down. But that hasn't happened in a while, like a few months and my heart is still always fast. Oh yeah, another little thing which I don't know if it is part of anxiety disorders. I get stressed out real easy and I just get frustrated and basically quit. (That's part of what caused me to fail the last 3 semesters of college with less than a 1.0 gpa). I just throw in the towel way too easily because I can't deal with something anymore. But I thought this was one of the symptoms of ADHD. Getting frustrated easily. Can anyone offer some guidance on what is going on? Maybe I'm just ADHD, maybe I have both, maybe I was misdiagnosed with ADHD and I'm actually anxious. I don't know. I would appreciate any feedback though. Thanks!

My feedback is I'm not sure what it could be. I think you should get a physical (to rule out other possible causes) and then see a psychitrist about getting tested (to rule out other dxs).
