Ok i have told my mom to make a doctor's appointment as soon as possible and when she called our insurance, they said we can either go to a very professional and highly popular doctor that deals with childrens ADD very well in about a month(because she is full up of appointments and itll take a while to get in line) or we can go to a diff doctor immediately next week, but shes not exactly that popular. Now each day it feels like its getting worse, but would it matter to which doctor i go to?Regarding waiting 1 month or just going immediately next week.
Another thing, should i make a list of ALL MY symptoms when im about to go to the doctor? Will he/she believe the list? And my father is coming with me who insists i dont have ADD, but im considerably positive i do. Im afraid of him debating me + the doctor that i dont have it so should i just stick to the list because i forget everything im about to say to the doctor?
Is it at all possible to get your mum to go with you instead?
Yes, definitely write down a list because, especially if you're nervous, the symptoms, concerns and whatever you would like to clarfiy with the doctor might not come to you on the spot there and then. Remember, this is your opportunity to lay everything out on the table, so go prepared. Tell the doc you wrote this so that you won't forget to leave out anything. There is no reason for them not to "believe" the list. It's like going to the doctor and listing your concerns-- cold, aches etc. They are there to listen and put together all you say is happening to you and come up with a plan to help these problems.
I would suggest waiting a month. It'll definitely be worth the wait.
Also, if it is at all possible to get on the phone with the doctor beforehand, try to explain that your dad will probably try to debate you or him/her and make the situation worse; he/she might suggest going into the room at separate times. Ask for advice.

My suggestion is this
Write out a concise but accurate list of symptoms you are having
Then write a brief paragraph of why you think it is ADD that is causing the symptoms. Keep the list and paragraph combined to no more than a page and a half at the very most two pages. . . some docs are ADD themselves all are busy. There is a high probability that ten pages will not get read
Fold or other wise conceal the paper from your Dad, when the time is right {like when the doctor begins to ask you questions} hand it straight to the doctor. . . even if you have to stand up and walk over to him or her.
ADD can look like a dozen other things and a dozen other things can mimic ADD so personally I would go to the best possible doctor. . . especially if a doctors has the back bone to tell your Dad when he over steps his boundaries. . . .
if your Dad gets too arguementive and you go to the ADD specialist he may leave the office finding he has a condition he didn't believe you had. . . he would not be the first parent referred for ADD "testing" along with diagnosis of ADD child.
