*Stargazer* 03-04-07, 02:19 PM Just a quick tip i've found to be gold,
I have always found it frustrating that I try to remember appoitments\ect by having a calander, and yeah when I'm on the phone making the appoitment or when i get i home i transfer from my note book.... but then my attention is never caught often or for long enuf by the calander afterwards, ive tryed colours, and pictures, but they all seem to blend sooner or later into the wall. Then one day I went for #2 at my mates place, the whole time while droping the kids off at the pool I realy had no choice but to stare at his calander!.... He'd hung it at line of sight directly in front and so i study it and then ended up pulling out my note book and as doing this think'n of course!!! ADDer's often have to do 2 things at once to get anything done at all, well actualy I said it, I talk to myself alot, and My Doc thinks it's great and says, if it helps and your aware your talking to your self then "go with it", getting of track i know, i know, it's just, I dunno, It seems to only have mommeents of courage to post, and then when once i start with one more stuff comes flooding to the top while simutalisly replaying the post i read and wanted to repky to coz i think yeah I realy do wanna share and at times i feel rude holding all this stuff in my head to myself while at the sme time thinking but i should read others stuff and then this... write now coz ive been typeing\talking to you in my head im starting to feel drained, like a battery going flat, i also know my grammar isnt the best and this feeling write now, tiredness, it's taken me atleast 45mins to write this, i dunno how but i often look up and find i'm typing and the cursors moved so im typing into a sentence half way threw the thread ive started, if that makes sence and, hang on Stargazer, why dont we have a break and smoke and stop ranting we dont want to put readers to sleep....

There was nothing, nothing whatsoever, besides urination and the sterile forbidden- grime smell of the bathroom. As I finished peeing the walls hiccoughed and screamingly shuddered. The water swirled down the toilet as I automatically flushed. And I was -- literally, not metaphorically -- born again!

the science bit ->- I think that ADDers have a powerful mind - but it doesn't get to work unless the data lines feeding the brain carry at least a little current.
Call it a 10 point scale - in which we can't think unless we hit eg > 5 units of neurotransmission.
The ADD 10 point scale replaces a nonADD lower point scale - with the only 'advantage' of that other scale being that the threshold was lower - that is - boring activities could be attempted.
Although the scale extends further - we can still be overloaded - which is why if all 10 points of our scale are being sucked up with thought - that we can't also talk at the same time.
So ->- EG noting the numbers are not right and that they underestimate the ADDer's intolerance for boredom, and similarly underestimate the gains which the ADD thinker exhibits compared to an individual employing only nonADD patterns of thinking (in terms of capacity).

Importantly - that's a neurotransmission scale and thinking elicits neurotransmission - but so does touch, sight, hearing and the autonomous activities including twosies on the toity :-)
ADD thought (though as ::ADDF::Solar Life taught us is the bigpoppa' of neuroT elicitation) ->- :-)
Imagine if the ADDer is sitting peaceful-like and is about to get a couple of bonus points up that scale towards 5 - I think that this represents the core of the reason why thought comes easily as we're evacuating our vowels.

Toliet time. . . allright what goes in must come out. . . I can understand the logic which is scary . . .okay it should be but some how I forgot to be scared. I have been board on the toliet before and it is a good place to catch up on reading. Perhaps balance check book. I keep my calandar by my computer because I keep up with work time and progress on PC I can't keep computer in rest room we only have one rest room. . . I have to let Gary in there some time.

I can see how hangeing a calander around could be senceable, but what about drawing one on the mirror?
I wonder what outher ways we could be "senceable" with our time....
Well, Maybe thats askeing to much, I'm pretty shure that most of us multitask enoughf anyway.
