Actually, there was a really neat seminar thingie on PBS on Sunday ALL about menopause. It had all sorts of neat info and what to do through all of the stages of menopause. (and the doctor giving it was just hilarious). There's a book that goes with it and the seminar is available on DVD.

Did anyone else see it? I can't remember the title.

I'll look it up and post it as soon as I find it, if someone doesn't already know what it is.

Thanks Proscrire. I sure could use the laughs some days, now that my beloved coffee is prone to causing hot flashes :( man I miss those 5 cup days! Concerta works better though, so I suppose I am better off regardless what with the coffee issues.

Well that was easy. The station leaves up the old program schedules.
(it's not a link, just blue)
Dr. Christiane Northrup’s Menopause and Beyond: New Wisdom for Women (javascript:PBSMultichannelEpisodeWindowPopUp()
(here's the link to her site, the PBS seminar is toward the bottom of the page)
http://www.drnorthrup.com/

It looks likes it's going to broadcast a couple of times yet. Check your local PBS stations program schedule

Oh I could have, I could have in a minute !!!!!ROFL...is that the equivalent of what I hear at my house, something like "Well the *****y woman is back I see..." :eyebrow: I have a whole rack of knives yet he persists in this type of comment.

[Maybe its not us that ought to be shot?]

Welcome to the cclub mom.... Dr Christiane Northrup has some great books on just that perimenpause and menopause... I love her Womens Body woman wisdom, my mom is reading my menopause book.

What happen to the sub forum about perimenopause?

one , stay away from caffine, it is bad for hot flashes makes them worse. So does sugar. I am now on 2 meds. Hormone and havent had one hot flash I can sleep at night, the forgeting is better but my brain is fryed because of school. Try all that, also start with the soy milk , Silk is good one. Eat soy beans, Take magniusm at night to help with sleeping. Take Calcium + D 2 times a day.... well there is some of what I do.... Oh and exercise at least 3 time a week... it really helps... Oh dont forget to eat right.... an d BREATHE

I am NOT that old either LOL...

I hate to think going through menopause will make us feels like our ADHD is worsening!!!

but, then again, those without ADHD may get some insight to our entire lives of scattyness :-)
